We all experience blocked toilets from time to time – something which is not only hugely inconvenient, but also stressful.

We are a local Wiltshire-based plumbing company which means that we can attend quickly, and usually the same day. This is because, unlike the big companies, we are not travelling from miles away or subcontracting the work out to someone else.
We have a very simple pricing model; a call-out fee of £80 +vat which covers the first hour of labour. This is usually enough time for us to fix most leaking taps. If it does take us longer due to complications in the plumbing, then each additional hour is charged at 30 minute intervals. This means that if we are there for an additional 20 minutes, you don’t end up paying for another full hour (something which the big companies do).

We understand how stressful it can be when you need to call a plumber out – you’re trying to juggle work, a busy household, amongst other things, at the same time as dealing with the plumbing emergency which has suddenly cropped up out of nowhere.
This is why we have a very simple and fair pricing model.
Our call-out fee covers the first hour of labour (usually enough time for most simple plumbing issues). If the issue will require more time then we will advise you of this at the earliest possible opportunity during our visit.
Additional labour is charged at the same rate, but in 30 minute intervals.
This means that if the plumber requires an additional 20 minutes, you don’t end up paying for another full hour.

Common Blocked Toilet Faults
The most common reason for a blocked toilet or bidet is obstruction. This is when the pathway for the water becomes either completely blocked, or hugely reduced; thus not allowing the full flow of water to run through it.
Another cause of blocked toilets or bidets can be faulty pipework. Reasons for this varies, but includes pipework and/or fittings which have perished over time and warped; thus reducing the diameter of the pipework for draining water.
